Mia Alysse is a Texas bred singer-songwriter taking the Neo-Soul genre by storm. With influences like Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Lianne La Havas: Mia grew up in a family full of singers, instrumentalists, and preachers. Her upbringing was rooted in spirituality, but driven by musicality. It guided Mia into her passion for music, and allowed her to shadow some of the greatest musicians in her area. Now she’s navigating her own path, and bringing crowds to their feet every stage she graces. Mia started out playing piano and singing gospel music with her family when she was about five years old. Her family made a name for themselves and made musical groups in the family called “Chosen By God” and “The Chosen Generation”, which led them to sing at different venues, churches, and conventions around the Dallas County area. Because of this, she produces not only an R&B sound, but also a sound from her roots; the foundation of her career. Mia eventually branched out into different genres to expand her taste and to also figure out what genre she gravitated to most, classifying as an R&B/Soul artist. Mia now resides in Boston, attending Berklee College of Music, where she is majoring in Songwriting & Performance. With the help of Berklee, she has been able to collaborate/perform with artists such as Ledisi, Kurt Carr, and Hezekiah Walker. She was also able to release her debut single “Tomorrow” at the beginning of the year 2025, following with her recent release "You're Out". With the help of God, Mia hopes to continue to write and perform more of her original music while also helping others with their careers as well. In the near future, she hopes to release an EP filled with stories about her own personal growth/challenges.
